Laughter has changed me.

Hello, my name is Dale, I am 16. I live on The Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia  and I have something I’d like to share with every one and that is going to stay in my mind for ever.

Ok, I was in a course at tafe and the course was call M>A>D.  I have since then forgotten what M A D meant but anyway.  One day of this course we had a lady called Susan Brown. She came into us and taught us laughter and I thought that it was a big joke until after I did her class. I felt a big feeling and it was a good feeling and I asked her if I could buy her laughter cd called ‘Let’s Laugh’.  She said yes and she said that I’d have  to wait until she got some more made, so we exchanged phone numbers.  Then I was waiting for the phone to ring and I forgot after a while until I was at the park and I seen her and ran to her and asked her if she had the cd’s yet and she said yes, So I walked her to the car and she gave me a cd and I told her how the laughter class had changed me and we talked for ages.

A couple of day’s later she asked me if I would like to come and join her for a laughter class and I said yes and we went to this class and it was for people who were suffering from cancer. I just had so much fun and to see the patients faces light up was the best feeling ever and to just think were I was before this is amazing.

Well I was addicted to drugs and I was suffering from depression and WANTED TO KILL MYSELF.  I was rather aggressive to everyone and I used to go and hit any one. I never was happy and no matter what any one tried it just wouldn’t make me happy at all but now Susan has a great impact to my life.  I thank her so much as she has changed me in so many ways it is just too hard to explain and if it wasn’t for her introducing me to ‘laughter therapy’  I don’t know were I’d be …so I would suggest to any one and every one to try laughter. If it has a great impact to me just imagine what it could do for you ….so come on and try it you don’t know unless you try it!
